(July 16, 2008) Special warfare combatant-craft crewmen (SWCC), assigned to Special Boat Teams (SBT) 12 and 20, attach a naval special warfare 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boat to an Army Reserve CH-47 Chinook helicopter from the 159th Aviation Regiment during a maritime external air transportation system (MEATS) training exercise at Ft. Eustis, Va. MEATS allows SWCC to extend their operational reach by slinging the special operations craft to a helicopter and transporting it to remote locations.
